Charles Comfort
Born:
Edinburgh, Scotland, July 22, 1900.  
Came to Canada in 1912 and settled in Winnipeg.  Moved to Toronto in 1925 after working at Brigden's in Winnipeg and studying at the Arts Students League in New York. Moved to Ottawa after being appointed Director at National Gallery remaining there until his death in July 1994.
