Tittiraujarvik: “A Drawing Place”
Exhibition fundraiser for the Kivalliq Inuit Art Camp
Featuring the artwork of Paul Mantrop, Rob Saley, and Andrew Qappik
Wednesday February 15th
Runs until February 28th
Since 2006, artists Paul Mantrop, Rob Saley and more recently, Andrew Qappik, began teaching art to Inuit youth in Rankin Inlet, located on Hudson Bay in the Kivalliq Region of Nunavut. Last year, the program took place in Whale Cove, a hamlet of 430 people. The Whale Cove Art Camp was a great success and plans to take the camp to other smaller communities in Kivalliq began.
In partnership with the Roberts Gallery and the Kivalliq Inuit Association, Mantrop, Saley and Qappik will exhibit their art works that reflect their time in Nunavut. Proceeds from the exhibition will go to fund upcoming Art Camps. If you would be interested in supporting an upcoming camp, please contact us for more details.
