Mary Anne Ludlam (1931 – 2016)
“I paint the world, not as it is but as it might be.”
— Mary Anne Ludlam
It is with a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Mary Anne Ludlam.
Mary Anne graduated from the Ontario College of Art in 1954, and never stopped using her skills as a designer and watercolour painter to express the beauty she saw in the world around her. Her paintings of the Canadian landscape from coast to coast have found their way into many homes and collections in Canada and elsewhere.
Mary Anne’s family will hold a visitation at Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W. (between Kipling and Islington Aves.), Etobicoke, on Sunday, May 8, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m, and Remembrance of Mary Anne’s life will be held on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel. For those who wish, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour or Trillium Health Partners Foundation.
