Claude A. Simard – Retrospective

Roberts Gallery has had the pleasure of handling Claude A. Simard’s work from 1990 until his passing in 2014. We continue to enjoy this representation of his work through his estate, handled by Madame Simard.

This celebration of his career features acrylic paintings from 1987 to 2014, watercolours from his sketchbooks and serigraphs that he produced annually throughout his career. The acrylic on canvas pieces show his joy of painting and more specifically his garden which he took great pride in. When he traveled he would record his experiences in watercolour sketched quickly on the spot. These diary-like works were kept on file in his sketchbooks for his future reference.
