About the Artist

HARRIS, Alfred Peter

Born in Toronto, Ontario, he studied at the Ontario College of Art under Alfsen, Hagan, Pepper, Ogilvie, Nichols, Schaefer, Freifeld and MacDonald: also at the San Miguel Allende school in Mexico and he did copies of Master’s Drawings at the Lou­vre, Paris. He won a third year travelling scholarship while at the Ontario College of Art. He was appointed Curator of the St. Catharines and District Arts Council in 1960 now located at Rodman Hall in St. Catharines. He was a member of the Canadian Society of Graphic Art, and taught at the Ontario College of Art (1959)
