Artists Choice 2023
What makes a more perfect exhibition to launch the New Year than our annual Artists Choice exhibition? Nothing that’s what! We love ringing in the New Year by celebrating new works by our contemporary artists. These annual exhibitions are a great resource to take advantage of by discovering new works from artists you’ve come to love, or, discovering new artists and work you will come to admire. Since 1973 we have been putting forth the annual Artists Choice show to celebrate our growing and evolving artists.
We have the first 6 months of 2023’s exhibitions lined up, which kicks off with Artists Choice, followed by Bewabon Shilling come February, Jimmy Perron in March, Nada Sesar Raffay in April, Josy Britton in May, and entering the summer months with our annual Sketches show in June. Each of these artists are known to work in a larger scale, but, we have it on good authority that there will be some conservative sizes as well. Speaking of the New Year, 2023 is a special year for the Wildridge family, as it marks their 75th anniversary of Roberts Gallery ownership. First acquired in 1948 by the Wildridge family, son Paul and wife Charlene have been operating the gallery for 30+ years. In lieu of this celebration, we have brought back the colourful Wildridge family crest into the Roberts Gallery logo, designed by no other than A.J. Casson, a close family friend.
