Rigorous four year apprenticeship in graphic arts
ASPECTS STUDIED:
• illustration & design with various media including watercolour, gouache, pencil, pen and ink, etching and serigraphy
• study of offset pre-press production including typographic applications, photomechanical reproduction, halftone & 4-colour separations, grounds, stripping and platemaking
• study of light, form and spatial relationships through photography
• study of advertising, illustration and fine art history with emphasis on effective communication
• polished layout and client presentation
1970-1994: Graphic artist for several firms in Ontario
1994-present : Began devoting full time to fine art
