COUNTRY CHURCH – A.J. Casson
Casson worked for Sampson Matthews as a VP and Art Director until the mid 1950’s, so his sketching trips were limited to weekends and vacations. A majority of his painting was done in rural Ontario, among the countryside and in small townships and villages. Casson sold many of his earlier panels through Roberts Gallery years after their creation.
